If you G850 of samml generator of similar spec has no spark at the plug thens it more than likely to be the igntion coil.

Very easy to change, simply remove the 4 bolts that hold the petrol tank to the generator body and the coil is in the middle of the generator secure to the body with just 1 bolt.
